Bass River Mercantile

What a wonderful shop! There is a little bit of everything here and not just the normal fare of tchotchke's. I really thought the stone carvings where awesome! I bought one for my girlfriend and she was thrilled! There was also a really cool case with different spyglasses that was very neat. Don't forget to look for the local made soaps in the font either! Honestly it was a pure pleasure visiting this store and the owner was really nice and fun to talk with!!

An amazing local small business shop with all kinds of goods, decor, gifts and more! We drove by and thought the store looked so cute that we decided to make a special trip inside. Here you'll find everything from nautical items, a whole section of candy and homemade sodas, to everything in between. Loved it! Can't wait to visit next year!

This place is an idyllic gift shop.. I was looking all over for a nice night light for me mum and went around to a number or gift shops on Cape...can't count em and there's many more. I always loved the looks of this classic old general store and its window displays show a fantastic level of atmosphere.. When I walked in, I saw many night lights that would be perfect. What I also saw was a beautifully tended classic Cape Cod landmark being kept alive so beautifully. The owner said they just took over the place recently and wants to keep that charm and atmosphere.. It's like something out of a movie and when you go through the Bass River area on 28, you can't miss it before the bridge and old lighthouse. If you've been by, you know of what I speak.
